When it comes to healthy eating convenience is key. That’s why I absolutely love this recipe. My incredibly nutritious protein balls are the perfect bite sized snack for when you’re on the go.
Each ingredient that goes into these protein balls has been selected because of its nutritional and medicinal benefits.
For example, cinnamon has been regarded as one of the world’s healthiest spices. Cinnamon is known to assist with the management of Type 2 diabetes. It does this by reducing blood pressure and insulin levels.
If cinnamon isn’t classified as a Superfood, I don’t know what is. Its medicinal value is incredible!
Another Superfood that features in this recipe are dates. Dates are an incredible source vitamins and minerals such as calcium, iron, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, magnesium, zinc, riboflavin, niacin, foliate, vitamin A and vitamin K.
60g Protein powder
1/4 cup desiccated Coconut
4 Fresh Dates
2 Large Handfuls of Nuts
1 tsp LSA
1/4 cup Coconut Oil
1 tsp Cacao
1 tbs Cinnamon
1 tsp Mesquite
Put all ingredients into a blender and blend.
Combine mixture into bite sized balls.
Roll mixture in desiccated coconut
Refrigerate for at least half and hour.
These protein balls are the perfect wholesome addition as a snack to diet your diet.
Eating healthy will keep the medicine away.
