Since we are well into our first week of FITober, I want to share with you my favourite high anti-oxidant smoothie recipe. This is made using every day ingredients from the pantry and fruit bowl. You’ll notice the importance of the spices in this smoothie which help lower the blood sugar, aid digestion, a powerful anti-inflammatory and very strong in antioxidants. I would add a dash of pepper to aid absorption of the turmeric into the system, If you can handle the peppery taste. I have also selected fruit which is high in fibre.
