Congratulations on completing your first week of FITober!
Research has proven that physical activity triggers happy feelings in the body. Exercising regularly boosts confidence and improves self-esteem. Yet another reason FITober is so great.
Health is not only about being active and eating well, we also need to nourish our minds. Here are three helpful tips that you can do to have a healthy mind as well as a healthy body:
- Cultivate gratitude: Either first thing in the morning or when you’re about to go to sleep, think of three things that you are grateful for in your life.
- Take a 30 minute appointment with yourself everyday: It is important to have regular quiet time to relax and recharge ourselves. Try doing some mindful meditation or reading a book.
- Practice doing some deep conscious breathing throughout the day: it is very easy to do, and you are able to do it anywhere and at anytime of the day. It has such an immediate calming effect on your body.
